What if I want to structure my fire night differently?
Go for it! I offer a guide, but it is extremely flexible. Let me know personally if there's anything I can do to help you cultivate authenticity in the context of your unique group.
Email me, or send me a DM in the facebook group. I can make you a host of the facebook group and you can post your fire night meetups in the group.
Is there a map of available Fire Nights groups?
Not yet! We're working on it. For now join the Facebook group and let people know where you're at. Ask the group if theres a fire night in that area yet. If not, maybe you can be the Fire Starter for your community.
It's primarily for men, but it's not only for men. In fact I host co-ed groups in Colorado Springs on occasion.
This is a great place to find support in your journey toward sobriety. It's more informal and unstructured than AA and can be a great companion to your 12-step program of choice. If being around alcohol triggers you, reach out to your local Fire Nights group facilitator and let him know.
Not at all. I like cigars so I usually light one up, but most people don't actually. If the smoke irritates you, let your local Fire Nights group facilitator know and he can adjust the evenings appropriately.
Reach out for help. If this is an emergency, call 911. For the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline call 988. And be sure to bring it up at your next Fire Night. I'm sure there is alot more going on under the surface and Fire Nights is a great place to talk about that kind of stuff.
If this is a medical emergency, call 911. Addiction and compulsive habits are extremely common and the topic frequently comes up at Fire Nights. Feel free to bring it up. Additionally Fire Nights is an ideal environment to talk about all the things below the surface of the addiction.
That's welcome. You don't have to hide anything in a community like Fire Nights. You are welcome as you are. No one will try to change you or critique you here. This can be a safe place to begin building healthy intimacy with other men that is not sexualized nor unsafe.
We're all on a spiritual journey in one way or another. Faith is not a requirement. You are welcome as you are. This is not the kind of place where people will try to fix you.
